I will say the box is way smaller than I expected and the thing comes out looking like a squashed bush, took me a beer and a half pulling the little branches out before it looked like anything. After that though it looks real from the couch which is all I care about. Bent it around the stair railing and it stayed put, didnt have to zip tie it. Got 3 for the mantel thinking that was plenty. It was not, haha. One across the top looked thin so I doubled it up and used the third one hanging down the side and then the other side was bare. Ordered 2 more that night, came in 5 days and didn't pay shipping on that order either. With 5 up there it finally looks like the picture, nice and full. Cat has tried to eat it twice and nothing came off so that's a win.
Put two of these around the front door the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We got that ice the first week of December and then wind on and off for most of the month, and it's still green and hasn't drooped. Nothing faded. Only reason for 4 and not 5: the first windy night it slid about a foot down one side because I'd only hooked it at the top. Went back out with zip ties at the corners and the bottom and it hasn't moved since. Also the little hooks that join the two pieces are small and doing that with cold fingers was annoying. Would buy again, probably a third for the porch rail.
ok so I've bought the real stuff from the nursery every year since probably 2009 and every spring I'm still finding needles under the couch. This year my daughter talked me into trying fake. Ordered the first week of November, it was on the porch 5 days later squished flat in the box which scared me a little. You pull the branches out one at a time, took me maybe 20 minutes with a glass of wine, and from across the room you honestly can't tell. Nothing to vacuum, no sticky sap on the mantel. I did miss the smell for about a day. Bought a second one on the 10th for the dining table.

Each length is 6ft with a hook at either end, so you can join as many as you need into one continuous run. Most people use one to four across a mantel depending on width, two down a table, and two or three around a front door. Don't cut it — the steel core runs the full length.

Fluff it first — work along the garland pulling side branches away from the wire, alternating up, down and out. If a branch won't hold its shape, pass a hairdryer on low heat slowly over it from about a foot away and bend the tips while warm; they'll set as they cool. Never use a heat gun or hold heat on one spot. For more volume, run two lengths side by side rather than end to end.
Fan the branches back toward the core, coil it loosely rather than folding it sharply, and return it to the original box. Keep it dry and out of direct sunlight and it'll look the same next December.
Keep it away from open flame, working fireplaces and any direct heat source, and use LED lights only. It's decorative polyethylene, so treat it like any artificial greenery around fire.
