Will the glaze hold up in the dishwasher?

According to the manufacturer, yes. Reactive glazes are fired on and do not peel off, but they can become duller over the years if harsh cleaners are involved. So wash the mugs on a normal cycle and do not use scouring powders or steel wool. The manufacturer does not give any information about microwave use – to be safe, avoid it, as dark glazes may occasionally contain metallic components.
